There's no doubt about it: Red is hot focus [1] now. In Paris, designers have allowed themselves quite a bit of poetic tact in interpreting all the shades of red, whether it's a screaming ruffled dancing dress by Christian Lacroix, a well-behaved [2] quilted coat by Louis Vuitton, bright classic suits by Yves Saint Laurent or a blanket cardigan by Dries Van Noten.

If you don't like cranberry or scarlet, there's raspberry and coral. If the fire or lipsticks red are just too bright for you there's still claret or cherry or brick.
