All about Lilies

The lily, known as symbol of purity, is a common name for a family consisting of more than 250 genera and 400 species. The botanical name is lilium in the liliaceae family.

Lilies are beautiful fragrant herbs[1] with showy funnel shaped or bell shaped flowers. They are prized[2] for their elegance and for their reputed medicinal properties, as a perfume, and also as an edible.
