　　 For a carnival of color, from creamy pastels to hot neons, look to [1] the gerbera, the elegant daisy originally from South Africa and now grown in vast quantities in California.

　　When the gerbera was first hybridized, delicate [2] pink, yellow and peach dominated the color selection. But recently hot, spicy colors, such as magenta 'Serena,' have been added to satisfy the demand for bright, intense colors.

　　Gerberas are unique in the many, many colors available, with subtle differences in shading. If you are looking for a particular color-match for a special event, you are likely to find it among the 250 different varieties of gerbera now grown in Califonia.

　　Multicolored varieties such as orange and yellow 'Fireball' and 'Picasso,' with deep pink petals tipped in white add zest to any bouquet. There are even tri-colors: 'Sundance' has a brown center and yellow petals tipped with gold flames. The multi-colors are striking in themselves but they also serve the purpose of pulling together several colors in a large arrangement.

说到这个词，大家都不会陌生——He looked to his left and saw the bus coming.（他向左一看，正看到汽车开过来。）不就是“朝……看”的意思嘛？谁不会？可别小看这个家伙，它还可以表达“照顾、留意”的意思——Would you look to the children please? （请你照顾一下孩子们好吗？）最后再来教你们一句很常用的话：我们常说凡事要自己解决，不要老是指望别人，用英语来表达就可以说成——Don't look to others for help.

2. delicate：

　　在很多很多种颜色的大丁草中，每一种都独具特色，而这些不同颜色的大丁草可能只是色调的深浅有所不同。所以，要是你想为某个特殊的场合选择一种颜色合适的大丁草，那么很有可能，你得在加洲多达250个品种的大丁草中才能找到你想要的颜色。
