This Andre is no Cold Duck I

Agsssi Agassi made some history in Australia. He defeated Yevgeny Kafelnikov 3-6, 6-3, 6-2, 6-4 in the Australian Open final, becoming the first man in 30 years to reach four successive Grand Slam[1] finals. Australia's Rod Laver won all four Grand Slam events in 1969.

A little over two years ago, Agassi slid to No. 141 in the world when he got fat and lazy. Now, two months shy of 30, Agassi is playing the best tennis of his career -- or just about any other career, for that matter. He finished the 1999 season as the world's No. 1-ranked player (for the first time) and he is an early favorite[2] to repeat.

I feel like I'm stronger than I have ever been," Agassi said, giving full credit to trainer Gil Reyes. "I'm fitter than I've ever been, I'm moving better than I've ever moved."
