               中国四大节日
             Four Chinese Holidays

迎春 根据阴历,中国有四大节日。阴历几千年前就已经产生,今天也仍被普遍使用。

 There are four main holidays in China according to the lunar calendar, which is said to have come into existence for several thousand years and is still in common use today.

 

 

 


春节是在阴历一月一日,它是中国最重要的节日。节日气氛热闹欢快,人们举办盛双喜临门宴庆祝。 在春节前夜,也就是大年三十,全家人聚在一起吃一顿饭。北方家庭会在一块包饺子,然 后一块吃。

The Spring Festival
This holiday falls on the first day of the first lunar month. It is the most important festival in China, usually celebrated with great pomp, feasting and merry making. On Spring Festival Eve, all family members are together to have a meal and northern families always make dumplings together and then eat them.

清明节是在阴历三月的前几天。这一天许多中国人去扫墓,来纪念死去的家人。

The Clear and Bright Day
This holiday falls on the early days of the 3rd Lunar month. On this day people in China visit the graves of their dead to pay them homage.

 

 

 


龙舟节(端午节Duānwǔjié),是在阴历五月五号。这个节日是为了纪念古代楚国的爱国诗人屈原。 人们在这一天吃粽子——一种用竹叶包的糯米团子,中国的南方还常常举行龙舟比赛。

The Dragon Boat Festival
This holiday falls on the 5th day of the 5th lunar month, the traditional day set aside to commemorate Qu Yuan, a great poet and patriot of the ancient Chinese State of Chu. People eat Zongzi, a kind of glutinous rice dumplings wrapped in bamboo leaves, this day, and the dragon boat race is often held in the southern part of China.


中秋节是在阴历八月十五号。这一天晚上中国人吃一种特殊的糕点叫月饼并观赏圆月。这 一晚的月亮在一年中看起来最圆最亮。中国人以此来象征全家的团聚。

The Mid-autumn Festival
This holiday falls on the 15th day of the 8th Lunar month. On the night of this day in China people eat a special kind of pastry called moon-cakes and enjoy looking at the full moon which is particularly clear and bright at the time of the year. That is because Chinese people take the full moon as the symbol of the reunion of the whole family.
