　Cuban exiles in Miami have won another tactical victory in their campaign to keep a Cuban boy from being sent back to the communist-ruled island. A judge in Miami has granted temporary custody of the six-year-old Elian Gonzalez to his Florida-based great-uncle.
　　 Judge Rosa Rodriguez ruled that her family court had jurisdiction over Elian and issued a temporary protective order, blocking the boy's return to his father in Cuba.
　　 She said she would hold a hearing on 6 March, where she would take evidence from both sides. She urged the boy's father, Juan Miguel Gonzalez, to attend and warned that his absence could lead to custody being awarded to the Miami relatives. He has said he has no plans to travel to the US.


 


法官支持古巴流亡者
　　在迈阿密的的古巴流亡者又赢得了一个胜利。一个迈阿密法官今天判定6岁的古巴男孩Elian Gonzalez可以暂时由他居住在佛罗里达的叔叔监护，从而使得男孩不致于被遣返回古巴。
　　法官Rosa Rodriguez判定对Elian有监护权，并签署了一个暂时法令，阻止男孩回到他在古巴的父亲身边。
　　她表示将在3月6日举行听证会，届时她希望争端双方都能参加取证。她警告Elian的父亲，如果不参加，将可能导致败诉。
