　　Aid agencies have promised more help for tens of thousands of Chechen refugees living in appalling conditions in the neighbouring republic of Ingushetia.
　　 A United Nations refugee agency (UNHCR) official conceded that the organisation had been slow to mobilise support but said distribution networks had been set up to get more food, clothing and medical supplies to refugees scattered over 260 locations. He acknowledged that the fear of kidnapping kept many aid workers away.
　　 The UNHCR reports that nearly 9,000 Chechen refugees have fled the republic in the last four days.


 


车臣难民急需帮助
　　在临近印古什共和国避难的大量车臣难民生活状况十分艰苦，救援机构已承诺要提供更多帮助。
　　一个联合国难民署官员承认该组织在组织援助方面行动迟缓，但表示已经为分布在260个定居点的难民建立了分发食物，衣服和药物的系统。他也表示因为害怕被绑架，许多救援工作人员无法正常工作。
