The UK film industry's annual award ceremony, the Baftas, are being brought forward a month to avoid being overshadowed by the Oscars.
　　The move has been on the cards for some time, but the announcement is nevertheless highly significant.
　　This year, the Baftas took place a fortnight after their more prestigious American equivalent and were seen by some as an anti-climax.
