Twelve Russian soldiers have been killed and another 31 injured in an ambush by Chechen rebels in Grozny, Russian NTV reported. The dead and wounded were delivered to the field emergency hospital in Grozny.
　　 The television station said rebel soldiers had opened fire on a column of troops entering the Staropromyslovsky district in the north-east of the Chechen capital.
　　 The troops were on their way from Mozdok in North Ossetia, to a base near Grozny.

车臣叛军戈罗兹尼巧设埋伏
