　　In Washington, a delay in consideration of the normalistation of trade with China has been ended by the US Senate and the measure is now expected to be passed in September.
　　The bill to grant permanent normal trade relations with China, as oppposed to the current system of granting it annually, is a centrepiece of the Clinton administration's policy towards China.
　　But it was being held up by the Senate Republican leadership as a bargaining point in arguments over domestic spending.
