　　A plan has been put forward to bring together Europe's two most popular sports, football and motor racing.
　　The Premier 1 Grand Prix motor racing formula plans to have single seater F1-style cars racing in the colours of football clubs in 2002.
　　The organisers, including former FA chief executive Graham Kelly, say 30 cars will compete in a 12-race championship backed by some of the biggest football clubs in Europe.
　　Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea are believed to be among the 24 clubs involved, as well as Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus.
